Funding program Alpin Camping Mallnitz.
The aim was the construction and operation of a campsite in summer and winter operation in addition to the existing tourist offer in Mallnitz in Carinthia. The campsite is divided into a north and south area, with the main building with reception, gastronomy and shopping facilities as well as the sanitary facilities in a central location. In addition to the camping offer, a chalet village with 17 units is being built on the south-western side of the area - of which eight units were built by December 2020. A further three will be completed by the end of June 2021. In a corona-related second construction phase, the construction of
the second sanitary building in the south of the area and further chalets are planned.
As part of the planning and construction of the buildings, which are kept in a modern Alpine architecture, attention was paid to strengthening regional economic cycles - the raw material wood plays a central role. In the terrain design, material obtained entirely from the region was used, so that a supply over long distances was not necessary. All buildings of the plant are supplied with heat and electricity from the local biomass district heating plant. The gastronomy attaches great importance to the use of local, regional products and attention is paid to waste prevention and waste separation. A corresponding charging infrastructure is available for e-mobile arriving guests.
All pitches are supplied with water and sewage, electricity, satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Drying and skiing rooms, washing machines, dishwashing area but also a dog shower should not be missing at the campsite and for
all those who like to call the bathroom their own kingdom, there is the possibility to rent one of four
rental bathrooms. The project is funded by the Rural Development Programme - Project Type 19.2.1.
The funding amount of approx. € 75,000 is made up of funds from the federal government, the state
